An empty cry for attention, maybe

She arrived at Craig's house at quarter after seven. It was a Friday and Michelle left for his house straight from work. She was so excited to see him.

Craig and Michelle had been seeing each other on and off for a couple years now. They had broken up when Michelle started college, just to make things easier on the both of them. After Christmas they had started taking again. Inside, both Craig and Michelle wanted to be with each other, but they were curious to see what could come from a new relationship.

Things became more serious a couple months ago. Michelle thought she was ready to settle down again, and Craig had always wanted to be with Michelle. Or so she thought.

Michelle walked in on Craig and his dad discussing College options. Craig had gotten an offer from a wrestling coach in Missouri earlier that week. Michelle was sad when Craig told her he might move out of state, but she would never let him know that she was upset. It would be unfair to let a relationship influence one's decision, especially when it comes to college.

Craig asked his dad if he could borrow some cash for dinner. They grabbed Craig's brother, Chris, then went to grab some food.

"Hey Baby," he said just like he always does.

They ate dinner, stopped at GNC, then went back to the guys' house. Michelle and Craig changed and gort comfy to watch a movie. The two started casually talking when Craig brought something up.

"Hey hun, on Wednesday..." He paused "Sarah asked me out..."

Michelle knew what was going on. It hit her like a train.

"I said yes..." Craig said.

Michelle cried. She cried all night. She couldn't understand what would make Craig do something like that! She felt so stupid! All week everything felt normal. All week was "baby I miss you," and "Honey I love you" then he tells Michelle he's dating another girl. Michelle felt so betrayed.

She figured that after he had lied the first time, after he cheated on her the first time, he had learned his lesson. After all, he had been so sorry.

But he did it again. He had chosen a fifteen year old girl over Michelle. Sarah was skinnier than Michelle, and tan. She had long brown hair.

Sarah put out... and liked it.

The crying continued on and off until the next morning.
"Give me till graduation," Craig said. "I obviously need some time to figure out what I want."

Michelle doesn't know what to do. Craig waited for her to figure out what she wanted when she started college. But what happens when she gets tired of waiting.

What happens when I'm not there when you need me most?
I hope you figure that out sooner, rather than later...
I can't wait forever.
